Lacy Brocade Snow Flurry

I saw a similar card somewhere and just had to do one myself.
Unfortunately I can not find the original to give credit to that stamper.

Vanilla Cardstock was run through the Big Shot using  the Stampin' Up! Snow Flurry die.  This 3 part die is so detailed and delicate.  I just LOVE it!  Each layer was popped up with a dimensional to make all the deatails stand out.

Rasberry Ripple Cardstock was embossed with the Lacy Brocade Embossing folder and the Big Shot. I own plenty of embossing folders and was determined NOT to get this one.  Oh, but I had to! The feel of this folder is very different.  Look close and let me know what you think.

This photo shows the embossing with out ink.

I chose to highlight the raised areas with Vanilla craft in.  Our vanilla has been retired but you can use White Craft ink for a similar effect.  Apply the ink pad direct to the paper in a very light tapping motion.  The ink will lay on the raised areas.

You can see the difference it makes.

So then I started thinking, White and Vanilla look good, I wonder what Black would look like.
I loved the look!   Not sure which I like better.  Since I had the test piece of Rasberry Ripple,
I decided to make it into a card,

Now you can be the judge.  Which do you like the best?  All of the October, Stampin Mary class attendees made the one with the vanilla ink.   I didn't try it with the black in until I was cleaning up.  Even though the greeting and the vertical strip of  of cardstock are Early Espresso, the black highlighting looks fantastic.
