Triple Time with French Foliage

This was a Stampin Mary September class project .

French Foliage (120845 Wood) is one of my Favorite stamp sets.  We used it here on this triple time card.  This Triple Time technique can be adapted to any stamp set and any color backing card stock.  I'll give you directions for this card and you can easily adapt it.

Triple Time Directions

Cut 3 pieces of Whisper White or Very Vanilla Card Stock
  • 4″ x 5-1/4″
  • 4-1/4″ x 3″
  • 2″ x 3-1/4″
Cut 3 pieces of Chocolate Chip Card Stock (or any color you choose)
  • 1/2 sheet of card stock (5-1/2″ x 8″) folded in half (5 1/2" x 4 1/4")
  • 4-1/2″ x 3-1/4″
  • 3-1/2″ x 2-1/4″
Stack all the white or vanilla pieces on top of each other, tack with a dot of adhesive to keep them from slipping.  Stamp your design all over.
(note I left a little bare spot for my "gratitude" stamp from Fabulous Phrases)
I used So Saffron, Cajun Craze, and Old Olive classic Stamp pads.

NOTE: when you do this there will be a void all around each layer.
It creates a bit of a messy look
DON'T WORRY we will fix that.

You will take each layer and lay it on the corresponding layer of colored card stock. Make sure you keep the same orientation of the layers so the stamped images stay looking the way you originally stamped them.  As you layer the stamped paper onto the colored paper, you will notice you cover any areas that didn't get a good clean stamped image.

Now that you know how to do this........
Think Winter, white and blue card stock and some snowflakes....
Think Birthday, white and red card stock and some birthday stamps....

Browse 24/7 to find the right combination of stamps and colors

I invite your comments!
I would love to hear what cards you are using the triple time technique on!
