Feature Friday----Not just for cards!

created by Kim Eplett
A few weeks ago I introduced "Feature Friday".  On Friday.....I will check my desk for any new creations people have shared with me.  It could be a customer, another demonstrator or, well, let me just say it would come from one of my FRIENDS ;-)   While the item will often be a card, it is not guaranteed to be a card.
This week I have an ornament created by Kim Eplett.

Here's How!

You will need a plastic or glass ornament from the store.  Some clear floor wax and some fine glitter.

First step is to pour floor wax inside the ornament,
swirl around (shaking creates bubbles, that's a no no) make sure ALL inside surfaces are covered.
pour excess was back into the container.
Then pour in the glitter, moving ornament to coat the inside.  Pour out excess glitter.

It's best to let the ornament dry before putting the metal piece on top.  When you do put the hanger back on, put a little bit of glue around the top.  This is a good trick to keep those pesky hangers intact.
If you want something simple-----WALA!  you or finished.

Or you can embellish your glittery ball like Kim did.  You'll see her ornament had a flat side. You can use any shape you might find.   Kim used Dazzling diamonds glitter and a retired rub on from Stampin' Up!   to embellish hers.  You can add bits of punched paper (thinking snowflakes!), pearls, rhinestones, dazzling details, buttons...and the list goes on!

You have plenty of time to make some of these before Christmas.  You could use them as place markers, gifts for the office, gifts for a teacher.  This is a great project to make with your children and grandchildren. They are so easy!

I challenge you to make an ornament yourself.
Send me your photo's and I'll post your finished projects.
Send me your comments.  If you are interested, I'll do a drawing for some blog candy.
So let me know what you think!

Make today a CREATIVE day !
