A little KISS for the Fabric Frenzy

As you know Stampin' Up! has a Fabric Frenzy going on.
(Check out all Fabric Frenzy Choices HERE!)
I can sew..but I do very little of it anymore so you may wonder why this sale excites me.  Fabric is just an extension of color, patterns  paper and texture.  Oh the wonderful texture!   So why not add another dimension to your cards with FABRIC!  It's so easy.
(Check out a way to add fabric to your packages too!  Right HERE )

I chose the Spice Cake Fabric 124066 only $4.98 for this week only!

For the Early Espresso rectangle and the Pool Party strip I literally ripped them off of the 27" x 18" piece of fabric.  Most of what I do has very clean lines, but I loved the departure of the frayed edges. on this card.

If you have a big shot.....you definitely need some fabric.
My circle flower was cut with the Circles #2 Originals Die 114526 $15.95, and the big shot.Circles #2 Originals Die - by Stampin' Up!
I cut 3 different circles from the die.  The circles had smooth, crisp edges....I had to tug at the edges and run the fabric between my fingernails to get the fraying going.

When working with Fabric....you will need something more than snail.   I use glue dots to anchor the fabric. I also use a little Multipurpose Liquid Glue  110755, for a no worry permanent hold.

The fabric was mounted on Very Vanilla Card Stock and then mounted on a 1/2 sheet of
More Mustard Card Stock.  I topped the flower with one of Stampin' Up!'s, Vintage Faceted Buttons 127555.

For the greeting I did rely on good old Very Vanilla Card Stock and some stamping.  You can't go wrong with the staple stamp set  Petite Pairs (122497 clear) or (122495 wood).

I used two more things I find to be staples in my stamp room.
Four Frames - Clear-Mount Stamp Set - by Stampin' Up!
and
Decorative Label Punch - by Stampin' Up!
of course the matching punch Decorative Label Punch 120907

They really polish off this card.  By slipping the corner under the flower, I hid the little bird.  I thought there was enough pattern going on, without adding a bird.

Now that should give you a good reason to try some fabric with your stamping.

Make it a CREATIVE day!
