French Foliage Goes Spring!

In just TWO WEEKS,  Stampin' Up! will retire the 2012-2013 catalog along with a few of my favorite stamp sets.  French Foliage is one of those sets.
French Foliage - Clear-Mount Stamp Set - by Stampin' Up!
French Foliage (121166 c) or (120845 w)

This set is so much more than a Leaf Set!!  The splatter stamp, the postmark and the script wording are work horses!  You could leave them on your desk and use them all the time.  And the leaves, well, you might think FALL...but thing GREEN, SUMMER!
For this card, I was thinking spring! I couldn't decide on light pink or deep pink so I let a challenge help me out.

This zoomed in photo lets you see the fun elements in this set.  The flowers were punched from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (118309)

The greeting comes from another retiring set,

Pursuit of Happiness Stamp Set - by Stampin' Up!
Pursuit of Happiness (121907 w) or (121970c)

Which I also used on the inside.  I think this could be a great Graduation Card!

The dry embossed background is made with, Vintage Wallpaper Embossing folder (120175).  We have lots of great embossing folders, but I'll still miss this one!

The greeting was cut with the Ticket Duo Builder Punch (126883)
By cutting 2 more in coordinating colors I was able to cut each piece in 1/2 and put it behind the greeting for a fun mat.

You can see how I start with 3 punched items.  The mat colors were cut and then
layered on the back.  From the back you can see how I spread them out to give the
illusion that they are larger.  From the front it looks like they are.
Use this trick with any punch, any die cut or Framelit!

My dad retired from the Post Office.  So I have a thing with mail and hand written notes.  Don't forget to decorate this envelopes.  It's fun for the postal worker and the recipient!  They will both be bitten with anticipation when they see the pretty, spilling onto the envelope!

My card was chosen as the Headliner in the PP145 Challenge

Make it a CREATIVE day!
